Recording Parties!
Notice: Beginning January 1, 2026, recording fees for all instruments under 205.130(2) will increase by $20.
This change comes from HB 3175 which removed the cap on the Public Land Corner Preservation Fund (PLC) fee for recording. Coos County Order 25-12-051-L increases the PLC fee from $10 to $30.
Death certificate fees will remain at the current rate of $86.00 plus $5.00 for each additional page.

Role
The County Clerk is a nonpartisan, elected, constitutional officer as provided in Article 6, Section 6 of the Oregon Constitution and the Oregon Revised Statutes, Chapter 205, and serves a term of four years.
The duties of the office include:
- Records documents that affect title to real property
- Conducts elections in Coos County
- Maintains the voter registration rolls
- Keeps public records for the county
- Process petitions for the Property Value Appeals Board
- Issues Marriage Licenses and Domestic Partnerships
- Records military Discharges (DD-214) at no cost
