The Office of Legal Counsel provides legal services for Coos County Government and performs a number of legal duties on behalf of Coos County. Staff responsibilities include drafting orders, ordinances and resolutions, amendments to County Codes, revisions to County Rules, advising on land use matters, real estate transactions, and public contracting.

Additionally, Counsel’s Office prepares and reviews all contracts between the County and other Public Agencies or Private Parties, and manages contracted legal work performed by Outside Counsel on behalf of the County.
