Mobile Response Team Therapist II

Coos Health & Wellness has an opening for a Mental Health Specialist II on their Mobile Response Team (MRT).  This position works closely with local law enforcement and community partners to provide crisis evalution, de-escalation, intervention, stabilization and support for individuals in the community.  This position provides crisis response services available to community members, law enforcement, and community partners 24/7 365 days a year. Are you willing to work rotating 48-hour shifts?

Working conditions of position: Mobile Response Team (MRT) clinicians are not required to be in the traditional office setting. Shifts are assigned 48 hours at a time and work often takes place in the community. MRT clinicians are able to work either from home or office. They must be available by phone and return missed calls within 10 minutes or less of receiving them. Travel is required within the county and infrequent travel within the State.

Must be a qualified mental health professional or eligible; Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or other mental health related field; or Bachelors in Nursing or occupational therapy with license and experience. Must pass a criminal background check per state requirements.  At least two years postgraduate experience providing clinical mental health services that include diagnostic assessment and interventions. CADC and Bi-lingual a plus.

Position has excellent health insurance benefits and 6% County paid contribution to Oregon Public Employee Retirement.  $10,000 sign on bonus and up to $6,000 relocation assistance.  Elibility for both State and National Health Service Corp Loan repayment programs.
