NOTICE OF TIMBER SALE

 

Sealed bids will be received by the Coos County Board of Commissioners at the Owen Building located at 201 N. Adams St., Coquille, Oregon until 10:00 a.m. August 5, 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened and read, for certain designated timber to wit:

Yellowjacket Ridge Sale, No. DC‑3‑26, located in Portions of section 29, T26S, R11W, W.M., Coos County, Oregon.  This sale is estimated to contain the following board foot volumes:  Douglas Fir 200MBF; Hemlock 16MBF; Red Cedar 13MBF;  Total volume: 229MBF.  The minimum acceptable bid per M.B.F., net log scale for #4 mill and better grades will be:  Douglas Fir $514.00; Hemlock $264.00; Red Cedar $464.00;  Douglas Fir is the bid species on this sale.

The County reserves the right to waive minor informalities, to reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed public contracting procedures and requirements and may reject for good cause any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.

Prospective purchasers are urged to examine all data relevant to this timber sale, including the sealed bid procedure, and contract form.  Copies of the timber sale contract and other data relevant to this sale are available at the Coos County Forestry Department located at 1309 West Central, Coquille, Oregon.
